Imperial Sports Ground Bristol

A charity in Bristol … with a focus on the youth

When you use our facilities, you will be supporting a good cause as we are a registered charity which offers the opportunity for everyone in and around Bristol to participate in sport. Our main purpose is to assist with the development of the physical and mental capacities of children, young people and the public in general, and to advance their education and health through sport. Monies spent at Imperial Sports Ground are ploughed back into the local community.

inclusive and affordable

We are inclusive and affordable

Unlike many other sports centres, Imperial Sports Ground is not a members’ club which users have to join before they can share in the benefits. We are open for, and allow access to, anyone wanting to use our facilities. We, furthermore, offer affordable, subsidised rates. We’re proud to provide the facility free of charge to some specific outreach programmes.

More than just sports facilities

More than just sports facilities

We offer more than just sports facilities. Imperial Sports Ground, in partnership with the Robins Foundation, also engages in hands-on coaching and sports projects for the youth, including those with disabilities. This includes, amongst others, F3 football (free for women and girls), frame football for disabled players, football holiday camps for youngsters to have fun and stay active during school holidays, and Project Inc football – a disability football programme which provides an opportunity for both young people and adults with disabilities the opportunity to make friends, get active and have fun.

Doing things right

Imperial Sports Ground is run by a strong management team which takes care of every detail, also abiding by the regulations laid down for charity organisations. We, furthermore, rely on the support that we get from key partners and associated clubs, as well as grant funders and investors. Overseeing all of this is a board of trustees which has a responsibility, laid down by legislation, to ensure that Imperial Sports Ground as a registered charity is guided and administered in accordance with prescribed rules and guidelines.
